The 6th annual Backpack in the Park at Piedmont Park's air-conditioned Greystone pavilion was a great success! More than 1,800 backpacks filled with school supplies were collected! In addition to complimentary food and beverages, the family-friendly event provided fun activities for people of all ages.
For the Kid in All of Us continued its partnership with Charitee Heart, a supplier of quality backpacks and other consumer items. The company donated 10% of all sales back to For the Kid in All of Us. In addition, Charitee Heart filled the backpacks with the recommended school supplies! To support your generous donations, they are offered special discounted prices for this event.
In the corporate affinity-group challenge for the number of backpacks contributed, Newell Rubbermaid won. Here are the results: Newell Rubbermaid 349, Banana Republic 154, AT&T 123, Booz Allen 85, Delta 95, Charitee Hearts 82, Malachi’s Storehouse 56, IHG 34, Team Hope 25, Team Rollins 16, Wilmington Trust 9.
