For the Kid in All of Us invites you to our third annual Backpack in the Park, a community picnic and backpack / school supply drive, on Saturday, August 9, 2008, from 4pm – 8pm at the Pavilions at Historic Grant Park.

Thanks to the generosity of our Patrons and Sponsors, the only requirement for admission is a new school backpack containing a preset list of items (see Backpack in the Park graphic), or a gift card of $30 or greater value. The event will be catered by Metrotainment Restaurant Group (Einstein’s, Cowtippers, and Joe’s on Juniper), with beverages provided by Georgia Beverage Association, Captain Morgan’s Parrot Bay, Cuervo, Smirnoff, and Peroni Beer. The event will feature activities for people of all ages, including great music, an inflatable jumping tent, and a High Striker Strength Challenge!

Please join us this year as we collect school supplies for Atlanta Public Schools, Dekalb County Schools, and CHRIS Kids. Your donations will enable these children to start the school year off on the right foot. We will see you at Backpack in the Park 2008!
