Our mission is to empower underprivileged children in Metro Atlanta through education, support, and funding to overcome adversity and reach their full potential.

About FTK

We believe that every child deserves equal access to quality education and essential resources.

In 2003, a close circle of friends spearheaded by City Councilman Alex Wan set out to make a meaningful difference in our community by forming For the Kid in All of Us (FTK).

FTK's efforts led to the production of the Annual Toy Party, a holiday toy drive benefiting children throughout Metro Atlanta. This small, private event quickly became one of Atlanta's staple holiday gatherings. Toy Party now draws in over 700 guests and 5,000+ toy donations, benefitting over 20 regional nonprofits.

In 2006, the nonprofit launched Backpack in the Park, a back-to-school drive to collect backpacks with school supplies for low to moderate-income families. Our philanthropic calendar expanded again in 2013 with the addition of Kids to Camp, a campaign to send children to summer enrichment camps of their choice.

With your support, we can continue enriching the lives of Georgia’s.

Lynn Barfield

For The Kid President 2017 - 2018

Hazel Lynn Barfield, 51, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2022. She was affectionately known as the Mayor of Midtown, a dynamo with an ever-present smile, plentiful hugs and kisses, and the ability to warm up to everyone.

Born in Jonesboro, Barfield attended the University of Georgia. While there, she quickly befriended and became allies with many in the LGBTQ+ community, which led to her involvement in the Atlanta LGBTQ+ nonprofit arena. She served as a development liaison between Hands On Atlanta and the Coca-Cola Company and with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a community and volunteer liaison for park rangers and management staff. Later she became the executive director of Enlight Atlanta, seeking to establish gay and straight alliances in high schools and colleges. Barfield also volunteered for organizations such as Chris 180, AID Atlanta, and the More to Love Foundation. Lynn also served as the board president for For the Kid in All of Us and was on the Mayor's LGBTQ advisory board.
