This year, the price of school supplies, like most other goods, has increased; nearly 40% of parents say they can’t afford their kids’ school supplies. And while teachers spend hundreds on their own money each year purchasing supplies for students, they can’t do it all, and shouldn’t have to.
That’s why For the Kid in All of Us is spending this Summer raising money for backpacks filled with school supplies. With you help we can make sure that thousands of Georgia’s underserved children can return to school in the fall ready to learn on day one.

54,000 Backpacks
and Counting
The 2024 Backpack in the Park event took place at Park Tavern on Piedmont Park on August 4, 2024. We were able to provide more than 5,500 backpacks for children and families throughout the greater Atlanta Metro. To date, we’ve handed out nearly 54,000 backpacks.
